Dropped bags, wandered through Bic Camera loving the song and marvelling at how easy it is to buy… electronic joy here.
Off to Nagoya Castle, two subway rides and I’m there. It’s nice to walk around the grounds and see some of the history but sadly the tower has been closed for some time (which I didn’t see mentioned anywhere online?) and large chunks are under restoration at the moment. Great that they’re investing in the grounds but, boo.
More travel to book, so I found a nice shady spot (with a seat!) and booked the rest of my trip. Not long now….
Back to Osu to find the big shoe store and peek around at some places I missed yesterday.
Wandering around looking for food, I fell into a GITS art show, sadly no photos but I could easily have walked away having paid $4k for some production cels 😀

But first hitsumabushi! unagi and good things. Delicious.
Shoe shop “Next Focus” focused on long skinny feet and or fashion brands sadly.
I’m going to miss having every inanimate object I walk past yammering at me… I might have to start talking to myself again. 😂
Played a virtua boy at Super Potato, could have played longer but my eyes were squinty and I had to bend WAY over to play.
Saw so many awesome old consoles and games and all the things I’ll never have time to play 😀
BOOKOFF is an utterly wild second hand place with a fantastic number of second hand books but also fashion and bags and cameras and tech and god knows what else. Amazing.
Muji is a very calming and lovely place , like Japanese IKEA but they give a shit about actual quality.
Grab bag, I’ll just hike back to the hotel because 5:30pm on a subway with a huge pack is just terrible.

Ordered cheesy gyudon with extra meat, no regrets. Matsuya Hirokoji Honcho Shop, would eat again.
I just got in the lift and there’s a Japanese dude who is my height and we are waiting in line now for late night dormy ramen and I’m freaking out because he’s making me stand up straight and the world isn’t right. Also late night free unlimited ramen is the best idea ever.
